Yeah, I’m glad he’s moving on. It’s not that I dislike his period albums, but I prefer his contemporary compositions more. I don’t think he is comfortable with period albums. It seems to stunt his musical ability and he yields to temptation once in a while and compromises on authenticity of the era. Like the Rasiya song in ‘The Rising’, where a distinct bluesy kind of guitar forms the backbone of the song. It kind of puts you off. I know most people don’t care about these things, but I’m just trying to make the point that he might not be comfortable with period films.
I liked ‘Bose’ & ‘The Rising’, but I yearn for more Meenaxi’s from someone like Rahman. And definitely not anything like A-Aa.

That’s expected. BTW..leave Aa aah(whatever heck it is..)..what did u try to mean in the last line… r u glad that Rahman is going to move away from period films? and did u like ‘Bose- The forgotten hero’?.

anti: I’m not sure I liked any song in this album. A black mark on the Rahman roster IMO.
‘Thigu Thigu’ is most probably Blaaze. I think I’ve heard enough of his inane rap in various Tamizh songs to recognize his voice by now.

What about Mayil Irahai? I thought that this is probably the saving grace of the album! And Thigu Thigu is the WORRRST! SJS singing himself?
