CD of inspiration?

Bollywood Selection

ITwoFS has more information about the ‘Black Eyed Peas’ hit single, ‘Don’t Phunk With My Heart’ . While I thought it was only the intro that had been borrowed by the Peas, it is now revealed that the rest of the song is lifted from another Kalyanji-Anandji number called Ye Naujawan from Apradh.

So, where are they digging up these numbers from? An easy speculation would be this mildly popular Bollywood music collection - Beginner’s Guide To Bollywood, more specifically Disc 2, which features both songs involved. Hey, it’s available on Amazon.com…and what’s a meagre $22.49 when you can translate that (literally) into a chartbusting single that’ll bring in the millions.

Monkey Business (the BEP CD featuring this single) is scheduled for release tomorrow, so hopefully someone will have the complete album credits available online. As for the credits currently available on the MTV site, I’m pretty sure I didn’t see the names Kalyanji or Anandji anywhere in that long list of artistes.
